The mushroom in the mountain are the poems that I have read

Installation, Coffee filter paper, Plastic balloon

The coffee filter paper that is on the wall represents every day that I spend in the Netherlands. I am writing down poems in Chinese characters on these coffee filter papers that have accompanied me throughout these years. From all the different poems that I have written down from different poets, the Chinese poet Su Shi and the German poet Holderlin are my favorites. They always see the true spirit of God in Nature. I have a compulsion of writing these poems every day in my native language because I fear that due to living abroad, I will start to forget Chinese characters that are unique to the language. By writing the Chinese characters down, I feel like I am balancing my inner spirit. Each coffee filter paper piece that I use each day emerges different forms of coffee stains, that like tea leaves, the patterns maybe are able to tell my fortune. Who knows.
